Turkey shrugs off WikiLeaks reports on Azeri ties
BAKU – Turkey does not deem as important the controversial WikiLeaks reports about its relations with Azerbaijan, Ambassador Hulusi Kilic has said.
"The fraternal relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan are common knowledge," Kilic told reporters Tuesday. "We do not attach importance to such reports."
Azerbaijani presidential aide Ali Hasanov on Monday labeled the recent WikiLeaks reports as "lies and slander". Hasanov particularly criticized the reports "directed at deteriorating relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey and "providing false information about the leaders" of the two countries.
