Armenia arming PKK
Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov has said
substantial facts have come out confirming that Armenia is
providing weapons to the Kurdish rebel group PKK.
"The terror organization's arms trade with Armenia is an undeniable fact," he told a local TV channel.
Azimov stressed that it was already known that Russia had transferred weaponry and ammunition to the tune of $1 billion to Armenia in 1994-96. Armenia further transferred part of these arms to Kurdish terrorists.
"This information was received both from Azerbaijani sources and those of our allies," the deputy minister added.
The Defense Ministry issued a statement last week saying Armenia had sold arms worth $2 million to PKK.
