Azerbaijan to rebuild church, mosque in Serbia
BAKU – The Azerbaijani government will reconstruct a Christian Orthodox church and a mosque in Serbia, Azerbaijani Ambassador Eldar Hasanov was quoted by the Serbian state news agency Tanjug as saying.
The ambassador added that a culture center will also be built with Baku’s financial assistance in Yeni Pazar, a city in the Bosnian-populated Sanjak region of Serbia.
Hasanov noted that during President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Belgrade in June the two countries agreed to expand their cooperation.
