Turkish PM’s Azerbaijan visit set for Wednesday
BAKU – Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is due to arrive in Azerbaijan on Wednesday, according to the prime minister’s website.
Erdogan is scheduled to hold talks with President Ilham Aliyev focusing on bilateral and international issues.
Reports said earlier that during the prime minister’s visit the two countries are expected to sign an agreement on the exports of Azerbaijani natural gas via Turkey to European markets.
This will be Erdogan’s second foreign visit after the June 12 parliamentary elections in Turkey, which were won by the ruling AKP party. The first visit was paid to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
