Aliyev meets Muslim states envoys
President Aliyev said that Azerbaijan, as an independent country, has built active relations with Islamic countries. He also stressed successful bilateral relations within international organizations.
Saudi Ambassador Ali Hasan Jafar extended gratitude to the Azerbaijani leader on behalf of his counterparts. Egyptian envoy Youssef Ahmed ElSharkawy read out a joint statement that reads that establishment of stability and security in Azerbaijan is of great importance for the country.
As always, Muslim countries back settlement of the Upper (Nagorno) conflict within Azerbaijans territorial integrity and the norms of international law, said the statement.*
