The parties agreed that the Spanish foreign minister will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan by the end of 2011.
The two countries also pledged to expand bilateral legal framework and to hold a joint business forum in Azerbaijan with the participation of Azerbaijani and Spanish companies.
Minister Jimenez said Spanish companies were ready to cooperate with the South Caucasus republic, particularly in the energy sector.
During his visit to Spain, Mammadyarov met with representatives of the country’s major companies. Mammadyarov said bilateral agreements on lifting double taxation and on promotion of investments are ready, stressing the need to sign them in the near future.
