Top US rights official due in Baku Wednesday
BAKU – US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State on Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, Thomas Melia, is due to arrive in Azerbaijan on Wednesday, the US embassy in Baku said.
During the three-day visit, he will meet government officials, civil society and media representatives as well as rights defenders.
Melia, who is currently in Armenia, will further visit Georgia prior to arriving in Azerbaijan.
