UAE officials eye Azeri defense industry
BAKU – A delegation led by a senior United Arab Emirates military official is visiting Azerbaijan, according to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense Industry.
The visit by the chief of UAE’s Armed Forces Logistics Staff, Maj.-Gen. Khalifa Al Rumaithi is being paid according to an agreement reached by the two countries’ governments during IDEF-2011, a major international defense industry exhibition held in Turkey earlier this month.
The visit aims to explore ways of cooperation between the UAE armed forces headquarters and the Azerbaijani ministry.
The UAE officials have visited a number of the ministry’s plants and watched the production process.
