Egyptian street to be named after Azeri embassy’s late employee
BAKU – A street in Egypt will be named after an employee of the Azerbaijani embassy, Nijat Gojayev, who died during the unrest in the country.
The announcement was made by Qadri Abu Hussein, Governor of Cairo's Helwan county, at a meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Egypt Shahin Abdullayev on Monday, Al-Ahram newspaper reported.
After Gojayev, the accountant of the diplomatic mission, was killed in the aftermath of the riots that resulted in a change of power in Egypt, Azerbaijan evacuated over 100 of its citizens from the country on January 30.
