Azeri ambassador to Austria dies
BAKU – Azerbaijani Ambassador to Austria Fuad Ismayilov died of a serious illness on Tuesday night, according to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
42-year-old Ismayilov, who has held the post since 2005 and also acted as the country’s envoy to Slovakia and Slovenia, graduated from the Baku State University’s Oriental Studies department with a major in Arabic studies. Ismayilov started his career at the AssA-Irada news agency.
Ismayilov has worked at the President’s Office. He also served as the country’s representative at the OSCE and a number of other international organizations.
