First turnpike to be built in Azerbaijan
BAKU – A first-ever turnpike road will be built in Azerbaijan. Drivers traveling north from the capital Baku to the Russian border will have to pay a fee to use the highway, according to Javid Gurbanov, head of Azeryolservice JSC, Azerbaijan’s national road administration. Gurbanov did not cite the fee.
According to him, a 59 km section of the road will be constructed this year.
