Iran minister pledges end to anti-Azeri TV broadcasts
TEHRAN – Iran’s communications minister has pledged that anti-Azerbaijani broadcasts on the country’s Sahar TV channel that could harm bilateral relations will end soon.
"Television and radio broadcasters in our country are independent," Reza Taghipour Anvari told journalists in Baku on Friday. "They do not operate within our ministry. Nonetheless, bilateral discussions are underway at the initiative of our embassy in Azerbaijan, and this [anti-Azerbaijani broadcasts] will stop soon and [our] relations will be normal."
