Bloomberg regrets error on Azeri president
BAKU – Bloomberg news agency has extended an apology over its recent error concerning Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
In a letter to the president’s press service, the news agency said that as a result of a technical error, an erroneous line was posted on its web-page under President Aliyev’s photo. This line was taken by mistake from a news report Bloomberg published earlier with reference to another person with the last name Aliyev – an official of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR, Vagif Aliyev.
"The problem has now been resolved, and we regret any misunderstanding or inconvenience it may have caused," Bloomberg’s letter said.
