Azeri envoy meets Jordan’s speaker
BAKU – Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Jordan Elman Arasli has met the country’s Senate President Taher Masri.
The discussions focused on establishing an inter-parliamentary friendship group.
Masri recalled his visit to Baku he made in 2008 to attend a ceremony to mark the 90th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s parliament. He said as part of the visit he was received by President Ilham Aliyev and met parliament speaker Ogtay Asadov.
On the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Masri said his country supports Azerbaijan’s fair stance and this will remain unchanged.
The two also exchanged views on the ongoing developments in Tunis and Egypt, the current political and public situation in Jordan.
