31 Azeris injured in Turkey bus crash
ANKARA – 42 people including 31 Azerbaijanis were injured after a bus en route from Azerbaijan to Turkey turned over in the town of Sivas.
The bus, which was traveling to Istanbul from Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic through Igdir, reportedly crashed after slipping on an icy road.
Elsever Salmanov, the spokesman for Azerbaijan’s embassy in Turkey, said that though all of the Azerbaijanis riding the bus were injured, only six of them received serious injuries. The other 25 received light injuries and have been discharged from hospital.
