PACE rapporteurs to monitor Azeri commitments
BAKU – Joseph Debono Grech and Pedro Agramunt, co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on the honouring of obligations and commitments by Azerbaijan, will be making a fact-finding visit to the country on February 1-3.
In Baku, talks are scheduled with the president, the speaker, the ministers of justice and national security, the prosecutor general and the chairman of the Central Electoral Commission. They are also due to meet representatives of the political parties, the president of the Supreme Court, the ombudsman, the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, the diplomatic community and representatives of the media. In Sumgait, the co-rapporteurs will meet representatives of the local authorities.
