Romania sees Azerbaijan as strategic ally
BUCHAREST – Azerbaijan and Romania are strategic partners, and Romania supports Azerbaijan in all areas, President Traian Basescu has said.
He said at a press conference in Strasbourg on Thursday that the two countries are cooperating in all fields.
"Azerbaijan and Romania are strategic partners. We are the only country cooperating with the Black Sea and Caspian littoral states. If these countries want to integrate into Europe and access European markets, we will welcome them and give each of them support. We want these countries to be members of the European family in the future. If we look at the map, we will see the abundance of Azerbaijani energy resources. We support Azerbaijan in every sphere," Basescu said.
