Ministerial on Karabakh due Jan. 24

BAKU – The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia will hold their next meeting to discuss the Nagorno Karabakh conflict in Moscow on January 24, Armenia Today news agency quoted Armenian Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandian as saying on Friday.

Nalbandian also said a meeting of the OSCE Minsk Group’s co-chairs brokering peace talks is due in early February.

Azerbaijan and Armenia fought a lengthy war that ended with the signing of a cease-fire in 1994. 20 percent of Azerbaijan’s territory, including Nagorno Karabakh and seven adjacent districts, has been under Armenian occupation since then. Russia co-chairs the mediating OSCE Minsk Group, along with the United States and France.
