Barroso’s Baku visit agenda detailed
BAKU – The agenda of European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso’s visit to Azerbaijan has been detailed.
Barroso is due to arrive in Baku on January 13 after visiting Turkmenistan, according to the commission’s website. The following day, he is scheduled to hold meetings with President Ilham Aliyev and other Azerbaijani officials. Discussions will focus on energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union, including the Southern Corridor and Nabucco projects. The parties are expected to sign a number of documents during the visit.
Barroso will be accompanied on his visit by EU Energy Commissioner Gunther Oettinger.
