Astana will host summit of Turkic states in 2011
BAKU – Astana will host the Summit of the Turkic-Speaking Countries Cooperation Council in October 2011. The meeting will be held at the level of foreign ministers, Council Head Halil Akinci told journalists in Baku on Friday.
The summit will discuss the establishment of the Customs Union of Turkic-speaking countries and cancellation of the visa regime among the Turkic-speaking countries, he said.
Akinci arrived in Azerbaijan on Thursday from Kazakhstan.
On Friday, Akinci held a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
