Azerbaijan holds emergencies response exercise
BAKU – Azerbaijan’s emergencies ministry conducted exercises in a Baku settlement on Thursday using helicopters, boats and other rescue machines to practice response to natural disasters.
The exercises, held on the |Caspian coastline on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the ministry’s establishment, were observed by the ministers of emergencies, defense and health, the State Border Service chief, Turkey’s deputy prime minister, as well as the Russian and Turkish ambassadors to Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov said the ministry plans to hold similar drills with the relevant bodies of Turkey, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan in the coming years.
