Lithuanian parliament develops resolution on S Caucasus
BAKU – The Lithuanian Parliament is developing a special resolution on the situation in the South Caucasus, said Emanuelis Zingeris, Chairman of the Committee on International Relations of the Lithuanian Seimas while meeting Ogtay Asadov, Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament.
Asadov said his country considers relevant resolutions adopted by German and Italian parliaments "fair".
The speaker said "we highly praise development of such a resolution by the Lithuanian Parliament".
"We believe that Lithuania will further support Azerbaijan`s fair stance on settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict", Asadov added.
The Lithuanian MP expressed satisfaction with his meetings in Azerbaijan, saying he had "effective" discussions concerning achievements and future plans under the twinning project.
Zingeris said his country would continue to make "necessary" support to Azerbaijan in the process of integration into the European structures.
