Azerbaijan, Turkey may jointly build warships
BAKU – Representatives of Turkish companies building warships are expected to pay a visit to Azerbaijan soon, the Baku-based APA news agency quoted Turkey's Undersecretariat for Defense Industries as saying.
Several Turkish delegations will discuss joint production of military ships and other vessels.
Representatives of Turkey’s Yonca-Onuk will arrive in Azerbaijan in the coming days to submit its proposals, the Undersecretariat said.
The company is also in talks on selling vessels to other Caspian littoral states.
Yonca-Onuk is also involved in the production of boats. Its boats are currently used by the Navy and coast guards of a number of Gulf states, Georgia and Pakistan.
Yonca-Onuk is an industrial-scale enterprise with a modern shipyard capable of serial production of state-of-the-art pleasure, commercial and naval craft.
