10 injured in Baku elevator accident
BAKU – 10 people were injured in an elevator accident at a newly constructed building in Baku on Thursday.
The elevator plunged into the pit after its steel rope broke off under the weight of the people inside – nine women and a child. They were hospitalized and their condition is not life-threatening.
The injured people, who were returning home from a funeral wake, said the elevator rope had cut off on the seventh floor of the building.
