Azeri company sues Dubai land department
BAKU – Azerbaijan’s Eco Group has sued the Dubai Land Department and two Arab businessmen, demanding payment of damages.
The company’s lawsuit filed in a Baku court says that Eco Group had sought to buy a land plot in Dubai. Then, Issam Muhammad Davud and Sheikh Tarik Feysal Khaled Al Qasimi offered assistance in arranging the acquisition. After the payment was made, the Department refused to sell the land plot, invalidated the contract and failed to compensate part of the funds to Eco Group.
The court is due to hold its first hearing on the case on Wednesday.
