OSCE envoy visits Karabakh - reports
YEREVAN – The personal representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Andrzej Kasprzyk, has visited the Armenia-occupied Upper (Nagorno) Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, Armenian media reported.
Kasprzyk has met with Bako Saakian, the leader of the self-proclaimed republic. During the meeting held Tuesday, the situation on the contact line of the Armenian and Azerbaijani troops was discussed.
Azerbaijan and Armenia have been locked in conflict for two decades. Armenian armed forces occupy 20 percent of Azerbaijan including the Nagorno Karabakh region. OSCE-brokered peace talks have been mostly fruitless to date.
