Aliyev to attend OSCE summit in Astana – envoy
BAKU – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is expected to attend a summit of the OSCE member states’ leaders to be held on December 1-2 in Astana, according to Kazakh Ambassador in Baku Serik Primbetov.
Primbetov told a news conference Monday that during the summit, which is taking place for the first time in the past eleven years, participants are to outline strategic facets of the OSCE’s activities.
Attendees are expected to discuss and adopt decisions on European security as well as the situation in Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan. Protracted conflicts will be high on the agenda as well.
