Aliyev, Putin see 'no unresolved issues'
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin meeting in Moscow on Thursday said there were no unresolved issues between the two countries.
"On the contrary, we have made progress in the economic field," Putin said.
He said that although the current level of bilateral trade was not as high as in 2006, its growth rate was quite high.
"Russian businessmen are ramping up investments in the Azerbaijani economy," Putin said, expressing gratitude to President Aliyev for the favorable conditions provided for the operation of Russian companies in the country.
"Investment activity is developing in the energy sector as well," the Russian leader added.
Aliyev confirmed that Russian companies were operating freely in his country and capitalizing on all the conditions being provided for local companies.
