Palmali vessel to bear Azeri hero’s name
BAKU - Palmali group of companies, a Turkey-based cargo transport giant, has named one of its vessels after the brave Azerbaijani soldier killed in June in a frontline shooting with Armenian troops.
The ship will sail away from the Besiktas shipyard in Turkey on October 15, the company said. The measure serves to promote recognition of the outstanding serviceman abroad.
Warrant officer Ibrahimov displayed outstanding heroism during the clashes on the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops on June 18-19, single-handedly killing four Armenian soldiers and wounding four others. His corpse has not been returned to this day. President Ilham Aliyev has conferred Azerbaijani National Hero Award to the soldier.
