Portuguese FM to visit Azerbaijan
BAKU - Portuguese Foreign Minister Luis Amado will pay a one-day
official visit to Azerbaijan this week.
He will arrive in Baku on Thursday on his way to Almaty, where he
is to attend the informal meeting of the OSCE foreign ministers on
July 16-17.
This is the first visit of Portugal’s top official to Azerbaijan,
Advisor to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Morocco and Portugal, Anar
Madatli, was quoted as saying.
During the visit, Amado will hold talks with his Azeri counterpart,
Elmar Mammadyarov, to be followed by the signing of a memorandum on
political consultations between the two countries' foreign
ministries.*
