Aliyev visits northwestern regions
President Ilham Aliyev visited Azerbaijan’s northwestern regions on
Thursday.
First, President Aliyev attended the opening of a dairy factory in Zagatala. The factory, built by the Gilan LLC, consists of five enterprises and has daily production capacity of 30 tons.
While in Zagatala, Aliyev also inaugurated Intertabako LLC’s tobacco factory. The enterprise has annual processing capacity of 3,300-3,600 tons.
Having familiarized himself with renovation work underway at a local house of culture, the president headed to the Balakan region. President Aliyev inaugurated here an Olympic sports complex, a new hospital building as well as a borderline customs checkpoint, which is crossed by 190 vehicles and up to 600 people a day.*
