Yushchenko due on short visit
Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko is due to pay a visit to
Azerbaijan in late March.
His third visit to the country chiefly aims to unveil a monument to the prominent Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko in Baku, Ukraine's foreign ministry said. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will attend the ceremony.
The 3.2 meter-high monument will be erected on a square in front of the Dostlug (Friendship) movie theater located off the Azadlig Avenue. The 40-cm base of the edifice will be carved from granite.
Yushchenko will be accompanied by a delegation comprising officials and art figures during the one-day visit.
