Rights defenders conference due in Baku
An international conference of Ombudspersons, devoted to human
rights and environmental protection, will be held in Baku June
17-19, according to the Azerbaijani Ombudsman’s office.
The event will be joined by the senior rights defenders from Thailand, Slovenia, Canada, Ukraine, Moldova and Russia or their representatives, as well as prominent international experts dealing with human rights.
The conference will be organized with the support of UNESCO’s Moscow bureau, in cooperation with Azerbaijan’s environment and emergencies ministries.*
