Iran governor sees Garabagh as Azerbaijan’s ‘week spot’
The governor of Iran’s Ardabil province, Mansour
Haghighat-Pour, has claimed the Armenia-Azerbaijan Upper (Nagorno)
Garabagh conflict was politically Azerbaijan’s "week spot", saying
the dispute was advancing superpowers’ interests in the country,
Iran’s Fars news agency reported.
He said Baku should handle the Garabagh problem very cautiously. "If Garabagh is treated inattentively, this could prove costly for the Azerbaijani government. Powerful countries will take advantage of this situation for their ends."
Haghighat-Pour said Azerbaijan could rely on Iran in Garabagh settlement, adding that the neighboring country backs peace in the region.
