Illegal tours to Garabagh prevented
A German travel company operating in Dresden was prevented from
offering tours to Upper (Nagorno) Garabagh, the Azerbaijani Embassy
in Germany reported.
The DİAMİR Erlebnisreisen GmbH tour operator offered a 10-day vacation to Armenia, with three days in the occupied Azerbaijani territories.
Earlier the company's website stated that, "Garabagh has never been Azerbaijan's territory, as 95 percent of the region's population were Armenians." The company also provided false information that Upper Garabagh was allegedly given to Azerbaijan by Stalin in 1924.
The Azerbaijani Embassy in Germany sent an appeal to the company and as a result the misleading information on the website was removed. DİAMİR Erlebnisreisen GmbH then sent a formal pardon to the diplomatic mission. *
