Top Turkish military official due in Baku Wed.
A delegation headed by Lt. Gen. Mustafa Biyik, the Turkish
Gendarmerie Chief-of-Staff, is due to arrive in Azerbaijan next
Wednesday, according to the Azerbaijan Interior Ministry’s interior
troops command.
During the three-day visit, Biyik will hold a meeting at the
Interior Troops Main Department to discuss issues of
cooperation.
The Azerbaijani Interior Troops department and the Turkish
Gendarmerie forces signed a protocol in 1997 on cooperation in
providing supplies and personnel training.*
