Turkey, Azerbaijan to waive visas soon, official says
The visa regime between Turkey and Azerbaijan will be cancelled
soon, Azerbaijani Presidential Administration department head Ali
Hasanov said, Turkish news agency Cihan reported.
"The foreign ministries of both countries are working in this direction. I believe that in the nearest future the issue will be resolved," Hasanov said.
He added that military strategic cooperation is also under discussion.
"If there is military strategic cooperation between Armenia and Russia, why shouldn't there be such cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey?" Hasanov queried.
Speaking of Turkey-Azerbaijan trade, Hasanov said bilateral trade turnover is many-fold less than the existing potential.
"Currently, neither the heavyweights of the Turkish business world are investing in Azerbaijan nor does Turkey lead the way in Azerbaijan’s foreign relations."*
