Steel foundry employee robbed
An employee of a steel foundry was robbed in the Narimanov district
of Baku on Thursday.
Unidentified robbers grabbed 46,000 manats ($54,700) from Fuad Yangildin who was on his way to work after withdrawing the amount from local ZaminBank.
The criminals, who were driving a stolen Mercedes, followed Yangildin's vehicle. After the plant employee turned from an avenue onto a street, they slightly hit his Tofas car from behind. After Yangildin stopped to talk over the incident and examine the smashed spot, they took advantage of the situation and intimidated him, taking away the money. The outlaws then left the stolen car at the site and escaped with the cash.
