Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbayev on March 11, 2022 in the framework of his participation in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Trend reports citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, the ministers discussed relevant issues of mutual cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as within international organizations, and issues of regional security.

The ministers expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations and stressed the high-level political dialogue between the two countries.

At the meeting, the sides reached an agreement on expanding the bilateral legal framework and strengthening the political, economic, humanitarian, cultural and other cooperation. They also noted that mutual visits of heads of State and negotiations play a special role in developing relations between the two countries.

The ministers noted that holding a meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as conducting political consultations between the Foreign Ministries, would give an additional impetus to the evolution of relations.

Other issues of mutual interest have also been discussed during the meeting.
