Website in Armenian opens in Azerbaijan
The first-ever news website in the Armenian language opened in
Azerbaijan on Monday.
The goal of creating the Аrmenia.az web-page is to fill the void of unbiased and comprehensive information about the country in the language of a country with which Azerbaijan faces a nearly two-decade-long conflict over Upper (Nagorno) Garabagh. The news portal is slated both for the Armenian population and for people in Azerbaijan -- residents of the capital, Baku, as well as the Armenians living in Upper Garabagh.
The reports covering all aspects of life in Azerbaijan will include analytical stories and interviews.*
