France vows to stay neutral to Azerbaijan, Armenia
France, as a mediator in the settlement of the
Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Upper (Nagorno) Garabagh, attaches
great importance to maintaining impartiality toward the parties to
the conflict, and any provision of the signed memorandum on
military cooperation between France and Armenia does not cast a
doubt on this neutrality, the French embassy in Azerbaijan said on
Tuesday.
The memorandum was inked by the defense ministers of Armenia and France in Paris on Feb.10. The paper approves the premise of cooperation between the defense ministries of the two countries, the embassy said.
