Park named after Heydar Aliyev to be built in Israeli city
A park named Azerbaijan’s late national leader, former President
Heydar Aliyev will be built in Hadera, Israel, says Joseph Shagal,
a member of the delegation accompanying Israeli Foreign Minister
Avigdor Lieberman visiting Azerbaijan.
Hadera is a major Israeli city located in the Haifa District, with a population of about 100,000 people, said Shagal, the president of the Israel-Azerbaijan International Association, who hails from Baku.
"It is home to a large community of people who come from Azerbaijan. The city is located close to Tel-Aviv, it is full of greenery, and the park is in its center. We hope that the opening of the park will take place in May, on the eve of Heydar Aliyev’s birthday," Shagal told reporters.*
