PACE to discuss situation in Azerbaijan
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) is
holding meetings of its bureau, political affairs and monitoring
committees in Paris during which the overall situation in
Azerbaijan will be tabled.
Azerbaijan is represented at the discussions by Samad Seyidov, head of the country’s delegation at the assembly and chairman of the parliamentary commission on international and inter-parliamentary relations. The meetings will last till December 18.
The agenda also includes the situation in Belarus and Moldova; the activity of democratic institutions in Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina; and a report of the ad hoc committee investigating the March 2008 post-election violence in Armenia.*
