Fake ‘investigator’ wounds two Azeris in Moscow

A 29-year-old individual wounded two Azerbaijani citizens at a
night club in Moscow with a gun on Friday.
The incident occurred early in the morning over a dispute. The Azerbaijanis have been hospitalized with heavy injuries, Russian media reported.
Though the shooter escaped from the scene in a BMW-X5 car, he was detained nonetheless. He resisted arrest and even threatened to have the police officers detaining him sacked.
Having detained the individual, named Dmitry Shershnev, the police found, besides a pistol, an identification document of an investigator of the Russian Prosecutor’s Office’s Commitee of Investigations. However, the Commitee said the ID card was fake. In a statement, it said it had never employed an individual bearing that name.*
