Iran to cancel visa regulations with Azerbaijan
Iran intends to unilaterally cancel visa regulations
with a number of countries, including neighboring Azerbaijan,
Iran`s IRNA news agency reported, quoting a source in the country`s
Foreign Ministry.
Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said the issue had been brought to the government`s agenda. ``If the government endorses the decision, Azerbaijani citizens will be able to enter Iran without having to acquire a visa.``
Mottaki said Tehran was expecting Baku to follow suit. ``But even if this does not happen, Iran will, most likely, unilaterally cancel visa regulations with Azerbaijan.``
