Recognizing experience and skills in non-formal and informal
ways will be the first attempt in Azerbaijan in terms of
recognizing educational opportunities outside formal school
systems, UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Ghulam Isaczai
said.
He made the remarks on Oct. 31 at a conference in Baku.
He said the project “Recognition of Non-Formal and Informal
Learning”, jointly implemented with international organizations, is
aimed at expanding vocational education opportunities, increasing
various labor methods in Azerbaijan, and creating inclusive labor
markets.
He noted that it is very important to provide local people with
decent jobs and create permanent educational centers.
This will create broader opportunities for people who don’t have
university education, he said.
