European movement leader due Wednesday
Diogo Pinto, Secretary General of the European
Movement International, is due to arrive in Azerbaijan on
Wednesday. The visit aims to hold broad discussions on Eastern
Partnership, a program on the European Union`s closer cooperation
with its ex-Soviet neighbors, including Azerbaijan, to become
familiar with socio-political situation in the country and to make
a number of proposals on the South Caucasus republic`s European
integration, according to the organization`s local organizing
committee.
During the three-day visit, Pinto is expected to hold meetings in parliament and representatives of numerous political parties and NGOs operating in Azerbaijan.
