Another bomb threat proven hoax
An unidentified individual made a phone call to the Azerbaijan Interior Ministry`s hotline on Sunday night claiming that an explosive had been planted at the subway station in the Ahmadli settlement of Baku.
However, the police did not find any bombs during a one-hour search of the site.
Specially-trained dogs had been brought in to search for possible explosives.
Law enforcement officers are working to identify the anonymous caller.
The Baku subway is currently operating, though passengers are being inspected by the police.
Taghi Ahmadov, head of the Baku subway administration, recalled that previously a similar call had been made about an alleged explosive at another underground station - Khatai. A search conducted there also revealed that the warnings were baseless, he told journalists.
A preliminary investigation established that the call had been made from a phone booth in the area of the Neftchilar subway station.
