The IT project for ladies with hearing and speech problems has been launched in Baku.

The project is financially supported by the Youth Foundation under the President of Azerbaijan, ASAN Volunteers, the E-Government Training and Education Center, IT STEP Academy and Femmes Digitales (IT -club of women of Azerbaijan), Trend Life reported.

The project involved ladies with hearing and speech disorders aged between 16-30 years.

The author of the idea Turana Gasimova stressed that her project aims to master the skills of IT technologies of people with disabilities, in order to further assimilate programs at the professional level as well as to integrate into society.

About twelve classes in basic and office programs, graphic design, coding, robot technology, e-government, etc., will be organized.

The project participants will be awarded certificates, and the best one will be provided with work in various companies.

It was stressed that hearing and speech disorders do not interfere with work on the computer. Almost all the information comes from the screen, and the soundtrack is optional. On the other hand, digital technologies allow you to compensate and overcome the limitations associated with hearing loss, partial or complete deafness, speech disorders.

Modern hearing aids, both portable and implantable, are specialized microcomputers. A home computer, among other things, is a universal music and video player. For people with hearing impairments, it offers interesting possibilities: the connection of some models of hearing aids to the audio output, the reproduction of films with subtitles. There are a number of programs designed for people with hearing and speech. They help to master sign language, reading on the lips, correct speech deficiencies. You can work with such programs yourself, and with the teacher of the deaf.
