The next plenary session of the Azerbaijani Parliament started its work on November 29, addressing several important issues.

The session was focused on 36 topics, including amendments to Code of Administrative Offences, Criminal and Criminal Procedural Code, Tax Code and more.

The Parliament approved the ban on advertising tobacco and tobacco products. In addition, manufacturers and sellers of tobacco and tobacco products will not be able to be a sponsor of various events.

The changes in Law "On Medicine and Medical Equipment" envisages ban on advertising of medicines.

Moreover, the Parliament prohibited free distribution of drugs, as well as advertising campaign accompanied by the provision of free or paid medical services. The amendments were approved at the meeting.

The parliamentarians also considered the amendments to the law "On human body and (or) tissues transplantation", which prohibited display of advertisement on transplantation via media, TV or other meanings which have no medical specialization.

The Parliament also approved amendments to the law "On a state policy regarding the Azerbaijanis living abroad".

Henceforth Azerbaijani businessmen, who live abroad and want to invest in Azerbaijan, will get special privileges in customs and tax procedures.

The Parliament also established an Order "Labor" to be given to Azerbaijani citizens, foreigners and persons without citizenship for outstanding labor achievements in the way of welfare and development of Azerbaijan in all spheres of activity.
